Monsters Get One-Run Win at Alaskan
The Monongahela Monsters topped the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-3, in USPL Triple A action at Sea World. The standout performance belonged to Monongahela pitcher and Oranjestad, Aruba, native Gabel Ambrosius. Ambrosius got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Ambrosius allowed 3 runs. The save was credited to Tetsu Gato, his 1st.

Pancho Hernández, the 32-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hernández contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Monongahela up, 4-0.

"I felt good up there," said Hernández. "I saw the ball well."

Monongahela is now 39-37.
