Dodos Knock Off Monsters at Timber Hawks Ballpark
The Hialeah Dodos dealt the Monongahela Monsters a 4-2 loss at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Lee Montgomery was the star on offense. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Eric Colquhoun earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The 7th-place Dodos sport a record of 33-38.

Montgomery contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Hialeah in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Montgomery took a fastball from Ángel Santingo and stroked the double to left. His 15th double of the season allowed the Dodos to leap in front, 3-2.

Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
