Hialeah starter Jesús Ríos pitched well against the Kansas Rainbeaus at Wichita Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-4. Ríos picked up the win for Hialeah, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. Grant Gremel earned the save for Hialeah, his 20th.
The Dodos got an important contribution from right fielder George McLean, who in the top of the first knocked a 3-1 curveball into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Dodos ahead, 2-0.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Ríos.
The 7th-place Dodos improved to 32-37.
