The Syracuse Starks topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 6-5, in USPL Triple A action at Stark Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Syracuse pitcher Bryant Clark. The winner was Hendrikjan Zweers in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Dan Smith took the loss. Syracuse has now won 3 straight, while the Pajaritos have lost 3 in a row.

Byron Ballard was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Starks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Ballard said in his postgame press conference.
