Reserves Get 4-2 Win Versus Norfolk
|
Athletic Club KC Reserves starter Tong-kyu Ko hurled his team past the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-2. Ko, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Jamie Miller sewed up the save, his 2nd.
The Reserves got a big at-bat from shortstop Jejomar Catiel. For the game, Catiel went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Athletic Club KC a 3-1 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Athletic Club KC manager Félix Jiménez. "It's usually not just one thing."
The 4th-place Reserves improved to 27-26.
