Calgary right fielder Joaquín Díaz had a good game, even if his team did not. The Lynx dropped a 5-4 decision to Hamilton at Lynx Stadium. Díaz went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Hamilton reliever Alfonso Rojas got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Derrick Jones was tagged with the loss. Hamilton's record now stands at 46-51, placing them 10th in the Menard's AAA.

Hamilton needed the clutch hitting of John Tolbert to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunderbirds on top, 5-4. For the game, Tolbert had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Hamilton manager León Domínguez.
