Buzz Fell Men, 4-2
|
Salt Lake City beat Florida on the strength of starter Marcos Vigil's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Vigil got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 7 over 5.2 innings. Vigil allowed 2 runs. Martín Cedeño picked up the save for Salt Lake City, his 26th of the year.
The Buzz got an important contribution from second baseman Mariano Cabral, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 2-0 fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Buzz ahead, 4-1.
"Marcos is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Salt Lake City manager Jay Smith.
The 'W' lifts Salt Lake City's record to 52-44.
