Hialeah starter Kevin Horton kept the Syracuse hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 10-1. Eric Hurt notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. The 'W' lifts Hialeah's record to 15-24.

The Dodos got an important contribution from shortstop Lee Montgomery, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a 0-2 fastball into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Dodos ahead, 2-1.
