Brass Walk It Off for 19th Win of Season
Kyle Fitzgerald had a good game, but he could not keep the Monongahela Monsters from falling, 6-5, to the Baton Rouge Brass at Brass Field. The Monongahela catcher was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 in the loss. Jack MacAlonie, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits. The 6th-place Brass have won 9 straight.

Sergio Valentín was the walk-off hero for Baton Rouge. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brass pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero. "The effort was great."
