Nobles Fell Rainbeaus, 1-0
|
The Bakersfield Nobles got a strong performance from pitcher Mauro Ramírez, who stymied the Kansas offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Jerome Grounds. With the win, Bakersfield pushed its record to 27-6.
Tied up with the Rainbeaus in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Nobles got a boost from second baseman Patrick Goodhardt. With a runner on 3rd, Goodhardt saw a full count fastball from Zhong-shu Ang and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Bakersfield on top, 1-0.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Goodhardt. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
