The Baton Rouge Brass got a stellar performance from pitcher Chuck Spadina, who handcuffed the Athletic Club KC offense en route to a win, 4-0, at KC Reserve Stadium. The 7th-place Brass now have a win-loss record of 14-19.

Spadina, a native of Redwood City, California, was dealing all game. He kept Athletic Club KC hitters off-balance, while giving the Brass 7 quality innings. Spadina threw 93 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 6.

"Chuck just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Baton Rouge manager Daniel Edwards.
