Sánchez Delivers Walk-Off Win for Tritons
|
Lance Smith left his imprint on the 6-5 Jersey City win against the Port Royal Disaster. Smith, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2052 draft, was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Peter Bradley earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 5-3. At 45-41, Jersey City is in 5th place in the Menard's AAA.
The Tritons relied on first baseman Leonardo Sánchez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the ninth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"Good team win," Smith said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
