Nobles Stay Hot With 4-2 Win
|
Bakersfield Nobles starter Armando Moreno turned in an exceptional performance against the Hialeah Dodos at Jerome Grounds, resulting in a Bakersfield win, 4-2. Moreno went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-0. Juan Sánchez got credit for the save for Bakersfield. It was his 4th of the year.
The Nobles got a lift from right fielder José Hernández, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season put the Nobles on top, 2-0.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Nobles manager Jesús Román.
Bakersfield has now won 10 games in a row.
