4-1 Thunderbirds Win over Rocks Evens Season Record
|
The Hamilton Thunderbirds got a stellar performance from pitcher Ed Walters, who handcuffed the Plymouth offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. José Trujillo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 16 save opportunities. The win elevated the Thunderbirds to 41-41.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fourth inning, but Walters was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Plymouth trailing 3-1, Walters retired Baltwin Davids, who grounded out.
