Lynx Win at Vermont, 2-0
|
Edward Brown pitched well, but the Vermont Lake Monsters still lost the game, falling 2-0 to the Calgary Lynx at Monster Field. Alberto Nieves got the win, improving to 10-0. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. With the win, Calgary raised its record to 49-30.
Sang-Seung Yang, the 22-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Yang contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Calgary up, 1-0.
Yang told a Calgary Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
