Reserves Prevail, 4-2, Over Kansas

The Athletic Club KC Reserves got a stellar performance from pitcher Roy Head, who handcuffed the Kansas offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Wichita Field. Head got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Head allowed 2 runs. Miguel Martínez picked up the save for Athletic Club KC, his 7th of the year.
Athletic Club KC relied on the hitting of Zhi-jun Ou-yang to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Reserves on top, 3-2. For the game, Ou-yang had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Ou-yang.
After today's action, Athletic Club KC sits at 14-9, while Kansas falls to 6-17.
