Brass Earn 5-3 Win Against Fog
|
The Baton Rouge Brass defeated the Sunset District Fog, 5-3, in USPL Triple A action at Fog Park. Baton Rouge pitcher Kane Hallworth had a standout performance. The win brings the Brass to 7-13, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Baton Rouge used the timely hitting of Jai-guo Tian to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Brass on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Sunset District manager Ronald Harmon.
