Fighting Dachshunds Fell Buzz, 4-2
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds picked up a win at Spirits Stadium, knocking off the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-2. Starting pitcher Anastasio Ayala was a big reason why. Ayala, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Ellenburg is last in the Menard's AAA with a record of 24-45.
Jeff McDonald had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Ellenburg. He came through with a 2-run double to put Ellenburg in front, 4-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Ayala said.
