Florida left fielder Marcus Simmons was sensational. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Hamilton beat the Men, 5-4. Hamilton is now 34-35, while Florida is 29-40.

The Men had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Thunderbirds going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old center fielder Lorenzo Morales came to the plate. Morales hit a bases-clearing triple on a 2-2 forkball from Florida hurler Ignacio Pérez. It was Morales's 2nd triple of the year.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Florida manager Carlos Pérez.
