The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds and starting pitcher Rick Dunlap stifled the Pawnee offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Whips Ballpark. Ellenburg is now 22-41, Pawnee 31-32.
Al Stabb helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Ellenburg a 1-0 lead.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Edward Whipp.
