The Nashville Hot Chickens beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 6-3. Nashville pitcher and Cole Bay, Sint Maarten, native Dylan Kempink led the way. With the victory, the Hot Chickens record now stands at 28-31.
In the top of the first, Tony Mendoza ambushed a 2-0 fastball from Juan Pujol and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Nashville a quick 2-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Mendoza told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
