In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Alaskan Humpbacks topped the Monongahela Monsters, 5-2, in USPL Triple A action at Sea World. The standout performance belonged to Alaskan pitcher and Baltimore, Maryland, native Dave Bass. The save went to Poom Saksansin, his 1st this season.

The Humpbacks got a big at-bat from center fielder Jason Melton. For the game, Melton was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 4th triple of the season gave Alaskan a 4-2 lead.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Bass.

The defeat makes Monongahela 9-5.
