Erwin Powers Thunderbirds Offense
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Greg Erwin, the Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 10-6. Erwin went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Thunderbirds. The winner was Gregory Gilbert in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Josh Pérez took the loss. The Thunderbirds sit in 7th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 22-24.

Erwin had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Josh Pérez, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Thunderbirds a 10-6 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Erwin.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Erwin said in reaction to the win.
