Skidding Fighting Dachshunds Lose 6th Straight
|
With left fielder Andrew Wilson leading the charge, the Port Royal Disaster defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-3, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Wilson, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA with a .587 slugging percentage, was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The slumping Fighting Dachshunds have lost 6 straight.
Wilson had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Ambrose McClure, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Disaster a 3-2 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Wilson.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Wilson told the Port Royal Times.
