The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 10-4, at Dog Park in Ellenburg today. Leading the charge for Ellenburg was center fielder Ernest Crane. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Thomas Canó. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. The left--hander struck out 6 and walked 1. At 13-22, the Fighting Dachshunds claim last place in the Menard's AAA.

With Ellenburg leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Crane hit a fastball from Rodrigo García for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Fighting Dachshunds ahead, 6-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Ellenburg manager Marvin Hayes.
