Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for White Walkers
|
White Walkers shortstop Mitsuoki Kogawa put his stamp on his team's 7-5 win over the Baltimore Bullets. Kogawa was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Buffalo in the contest. Buffalo reliever Magnus Belli picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Thomas Rice was saddled with the loss. Juan Luis Matos locked down his 2nd save.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Eduardo Lucciardi to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Walkers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Feels good to get the job done," Lucciardi said after the game.
Buffalo, now 14-17, holds down 7th place in the Premier League.
