George Goes Deep Twice in 5-2 Thunderbirds Win
|
Hamilton designated hitter Justin George was a significant contributor in his team's 5-2 triumph over the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Hamilton. Benoît Lambert, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 1-0. Hamilton is in 6th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 11-10.
The Thunderbirds got an important contribution from left fielder Tyler Adams, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-0 fastball into right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 2-0.
