Port Royal got a terrific game from left fielder Ángel Torrez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Hamilton, 8-6. Torrez went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Steve MacDougal earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. With the win, Hamilton climbs to 10-7.

Hamilton used the clutch hitting of Austin Kirkpatrick to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Kirkpatrick.
