The Athletic Club KC Reserves defeated the Alaskan Humpbacks, 6-4, at Sea World. Gary Bly was a standout performer for Athletic Club KC. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. Miguel Martínez collected his 2nd save. The loss lowers the Alaskan record to 3-2.

Had Héctor Aranda not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Aranda hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Reserves.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Bly told the Athletic Club KC Times.
