|
Hamilton Thunderbirds starter Joseph Ferguson was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Vermont Lake Monsters, 2-1. Darwin Donovan was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The win gives the Thunderbirds a record of 9-6.
Runs were at a premium. So, Lorenzo Morales's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth was crucial. The Hamilton first baseman hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Dylan Smith.
