Northern Lions BC Deal Leviathan 6-5 Defeat
|
Thunder Bay right fielder Andy Gould made his presence felt in the 6-5 Northern Lions BC triumph over the Nova Scotia Leviathan. Gould was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Wulf Hinkamp, the winner, goes to 3-1. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts over 5 innings. The Leviathan fall to 8-11 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 2052 season.
Gould contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Thunder Bay in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Gould took a forkball from Earl Hurdle and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 3-1.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Gould.
