Davis Now 10-5 After Subduing Lakers
|
Ft. Worth Cattlemen starter Chase Davis hurled his team past the Echo Park Lakers, 3-0. Pat Martin converted his 24th save in 27 tries. The win elevated the Cattlemen to 60-46.
Davis, a native of Yakima, Washington, was dealing all game. He kept Echo Park hitters off-balance, while giving the Cattlemen 8 quality innings. Davis threw 90 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 4.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Ft. Worth skipper Scott Thompson.
