MSL Oakland Stops Águila's Hit Streak Thursday, August 24th , 2051 The 20-game hitting streak is over. MSL Seattle Rocketeers second baseman José Águila failed to get a hit today against the MSL Oakland Oaks and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 18-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 8-2 victory over the Oaks at MSL Seattle Ballpark. "I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." Posting a .395 batting average to date, Águila has 8 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
