Big Day for Hargrove: Swats 5 Hits Friday, May 26th , 2051 After a 5-hit effort to lead Long Island's 12-2 victory over the Capital Hill Interns, right fielder Alden Hargrove told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the M3L Low A-level is really something special." The 20-year-old player earned his accolades today at Alouettes Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Interns. "His swing is getting there," said Ducks skipper Mike Simpson, who spoke glowingly of Hargrove after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Alden did that to perfection today." Alden Hargrove hit a two-run home run off Héctor Rodríguez in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Juan Velázquez in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
