Going, Going, Gone! Kessler Hits 3 Homers Monday, May 8th , 2051 Watford City Trash Pandas first baseman Christian Kessler sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Flint Crush, Kessler told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Kessler pushed the Trash Pandas past the Crush, 7-3. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Kessler told reporters after the game. Christian Kessler singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Juan Soto in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Salvador Martínez in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Luis Muñóz in the 10th. This year Kessler has socked 12 hits in 24 at-bats for a .500 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .586 pace and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
