3-HR Dream Game for Mannini

Leon Mannini went yard three times in a Bompton Baby Lakers victory over the Amarillo Warheads at Field of the Browns today.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Bompton starting pitcher went 3-for-6 against Amarillo with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Baby Lakers to the 11-10 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Leon Mannini hit a solo-shot off Viljami Sala in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Guillermo Flores in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Richard Lacroix in the 11th.
Mannini has made 0 starts, tossed 29.2 innings, struck out 39 batters and walked 10. His record is 3-0 with a 1.21 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .155 batting average.
