Schmidt of Amarillo Crowned Best Player Monday, July 24th , 2051 Today the USSL Low A announced the Player of the Week Award. This week's honoree is Amarillo's talented third baseman Wayne Schmidt. When he steps into the batter's box, it's usually a bad omen for pitchers. For the week Schmidt batted .524 (11-for-21) with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. So far this season Schmidt is hitting .294 with 15 home runs. |
