USPL Low A Selects Best Performer Monday, May 22nd , 2051 It was a fantastic week for Shady Side center fielder José Mercado and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the USPL Low A Player of the Week Award. Last week Mercado hammered the ball at a torrid .375 pace, going 9-for-24 with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Mercado has hit 9 home runs and posted a .347 batting average. |
