Natalino Desidrio Gets MVP Trophy
Monday, September 25th , 2051
At the age of 19, Natalino Desidrio of the Fort Knox Centennial could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2051 was good enough to win the catcher the USPL Low A Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .307 batting average this year, as well as a .449 on-base percentage. He played 87 games and racked up 93 hits, 11 doubles, no triples, 32 home runs, 86 RBIs and 75 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Marcus Hambley of the Athletic Club KC U-21 finished second in voting, while Sotaro Hayagawa of the Fort Knox Centennial finished third.
