PA- Top Pitcher for August Picked Friday, September 1st , 2051 Lloyd Best of Fort Knox had an award-winning August as he took home the USPL Low A Pitcher of the Month award. "He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Best's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in August except for Lloyd." Best was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 4-0 record in 4 starts. He struck out 27 batters in 26 innings and kept opponents to a .170 batting average. This year Best has a 14-2 mark in 18 starts with a 1.26 ERA. He has given up 68 hits in 100.1 innings, struck out 121 and issued 32 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .189 batting average against him. |
