Year Over for U-21 Kaikala Thursday, July 27th , 2051 The doctors have spoken and Isaaka Kaikala of the Athletic Club KC U-21 didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kaikala sustained his season-ending injury during the Hudsonville Flanderses game yesterday at Hudsonville Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Athletic Club KC medical staff reported Kaikala had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. Kaikala is hitting .290 so far this season with 58 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 79 hits including 20 home runs, 20 walks and .355 OBP. |
