Browning Tosses 5-0 Shutout Saturday, September 2nd , 2051 Ted Browning had an impressive outing at Field of Plenty today, hurling the Providence Pilgrims to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Tacoma Fur Traders. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Tacoma skipper Gustavo Varela said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the right-handed Browning yielded 5 hits and tallied 4 strikeouts with 1 walk.
