League Takes Action, Castillo Suspended Monday, June 19th , 2051 Jorge Castillo was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 4 games following a wild argument at the Marquette-Arizona game. The league cited the Miners right fielder for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Castillo strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected. "Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call." This season Castillo has 4 home runs and a .274 batting average. |
