Great Week for Tortolita's Bill Webb Monday, August 14th , 2051 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Bill Webb, the Tortolita Drummers 22-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for USSL Triple A Player of the Week honors. He ripped 10 hits in 24 at-bats, compiling a .417 average with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. In the current season, Webb has put up a .252 batting average with 76 hits, 15 home runs, 41 RBI and scored 43 runs. |
