Salt Lake City's Sanders Collects July Batting Honor Tuesday, August 1st , 2051 Kevin Sanders has a lot going for him. The Salt Lake City center fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the USSL Triple A has just picked him as its top hitter for July. In 23 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .412 with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 25 runs scored. This season Sanders has delivered 90 hits in 284 at-bats for a .317 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .369 clip and his totals also include 23 RBIs and 44 runs scored. This year Sanders has played in 68 games. |
