Season-Ending Injury for Ronald Johnson
Wednesday, July 5th , 2051
When Ronald Johnson was hurt against the Austin Black Mambas, the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 23-year-old closer suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Johnson would miss 11 months of the season.
For the year Johnson has 10 saves. In 23 relief appearances he has hurled 29 innings, fanned 30 and issued 6 walks with a 1-2 record. The Santa Barbara reliever has recorded a 2.48 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .245 when he is on the hill.
