Pride End Coxall's Streak Sunday, September 17th , 2051 Alan Coxall, shortstop for the Port Royal Disaster, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Hartford Pride today. Not only did the Pride break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Port Royal by the score of 6-1. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Coxall said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." Coxall is batting at a .323 pace this season, picking up 95 hits in 294 at-bats with 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
