D.C. Loses Dan Seymour, Will Miss Season
Sunday, September 3rd , 2051
The doctors have spoken and Dan Seymour of the D.C. Divided didn't like what he heard. The 31-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Seymour sustained his season-ending injury during the Santa Catalina Condor game yesterday at Washington Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the D.C. medical staff reported Seymour had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
In 16 starts this season, Seymour has picked up 2 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 87.1 innings, allowed 92 hits, struck out 47 and posted a 4.84 ERA.
