Williams Named Top Reliever for SL
Friday, November 3rd , 2051
Las Vegas Flamingos closer Don Williams said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy.
He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2051 Reliever of the Year Award for the United States Silver League.
"There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Williams said.
On the season, the Golf Manor, Ohio native had 26 saves in 43 relief appearances, 77 strikeouts in 52.2 innings and a record of 4 wins and 4 losses to go with his 1.37 ERA.
Jeffery Meyers of the Panama City Piranhas finished second in voting, while Pat Martin of the Ft. Worth Cattlemen finished third.
