O'Rourke Gets SL Rookie of Month Honors Sunday, October 1st , 2051 Most everybody across the league agree that Jason O'Rourke is one fine rookie pitcher. And today the United States Silver League confirmed it by announcing he is this month's recipient of the Rookie of the Month award. In September the 25-year-old Echo Park starter proved his worth by racking up 2 wins and no losses with a 1.21 ERA as he struck out 9 in 22.1 innings and held opponents to a .151 batting average. This season O'Rourke has been credited with no saves. In 28 relief appearances and 85.2 innings he has a 5-4 won-lost mark, a 3.05 ERA and 56 strikeouts. |
